Turnitin Maintenance Outage – Sept.22, 10am-6:30pm

Turnitin has scheduled a maintenance outage for Saturday, September 22nd, from 10am through 6:30pm.  This time will be used for proactive emergency maintenance. Users will be unable to submit or grade during this maintenance window, so Turnitin recommends that any submission deadlines be adjusted to fall outside this maintenance window.

Emergency Datacenter Maintenance – Possible Service Interruption – July 26, 1-5am

Blackboard will perform emergency datacenter maintenance early tomorrow morning, July 26th (Thursday) from 1-5am CST. While we anticipate no interruption in eLearning service, we cannot entirely rule out brief periods of intermittent connectivity. Users will be unable to submit and grade during this maintenance window, so Turnitin recommends that any submission deadlines be adjusted to fall outside this maintenance window.

eLearning Outage Scheduled – June 28 (11pm) – June 29 (5am)

Blackboard (UTD’s eLearning vendor) will perform maintenance to the datacenter from 11pm CST, June 28 (Thu) through 5am, June 29 (Fri). During this window, Blackboard will make every effort to minimize downtime; however, users should plan on intermittent service interruptions during this 6-hour maintenance window.  It is strongly recommended that users plan not to use eLearning during this time.  If you have any questions, please contact elearning@utdallas.edu.

Early morning eLearning course access problems

We are hearing from numerous users reporting that their eLearning courses are disappearing during the early morning hours. We’ve identified the cause of the issue as a new process that disables all U18 course enrollments from approximately 1am until 5am. We are working with OIT to determine how to replace this process so that users who are enrolled in U18 courses do not experience any loss of access. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. Thank you for your patience as we work to resolve this as quickly as possible.

eLearning Now Accessible

eLearning was brought back up at approximately 1am this morning. It has been rolled back to a backup point from Tuesday (May 22) evening. Thank you for your patience; we apologize for any issues this outage caused. If you have any questions, please contact elearning@utdallas.edu.

UTD Network Maintenance – eLearning Login Impacted – May 20 (Sun), 6am-noon

On Sunday, May 20th, from 6am and noon, the UTD Office of Information Technology has scheduled a maintenance window to replace network hardware that will impact users’ ability to login to eLearning. Intermittent connectivity is expected for approximately 1.5hrs, but the window of 6hrs has been reserved. If you have any questions, please contact elearning@utdallas.edu.
