Turnitin Maintenance – March 17, 10am-4pm

Turnitin has scheduled a maintenance outage for this Saturday, March 17th, from 10am through 4pm.  This time will be used for hardware updates and performance improvements. Users will be unable to submit and grade during this maintenance window, so Turnitin recommends that any submission deadlines be adjusted to fall outside this maintenance window.

PLEASE NOTE: This DOES NOT impact the regular eLearning assignment tool.

Upcoming March 3rd Maintenance Impacting Publisher Tools

This weekend from 11pm March 2nd until 3pm March 3rd, Blackboard will replace hardware at on one of its data centers. eLearning users may experience service interruptions to publisher tools (Partner Cloud) during this time. These publisher tools include Cengage Learning, Macmillan Higher Education, McGraw-Hill, Pearson, and Wiley.  Please contact elearning@utdallas.edu if you have any questions.

 

PLEASE NOTE: This maintenance DOES NOT impact core eLearning functionality (i.e. tests, assignments, discussion boards, etc.).

Extended Maintenance OUTAGE – Feb.27 (Tue), 2-6am

A four-hour extended maintenance outage has been scheduled for Tuesday, February 27, from 2-6am (early morning) to add hardware and resources in order to improve eLearning performance.  During this time, eLearning will be UNAVAILABLE.  If you have any questions, please contact elearning@utdallas.edu.

OIT Emergency Maintenance – Friday (2/16) from 5-9pm

OIT will conduct emergency maintenance Friday evening (tonight) from 5pm to 9pm. While OIT does not anticipate any impact to users, there may be periods when users are unable to log into eLearning.  (Users already logged into eLearning should not be impacted by this maintenance.)  Please see the notification from OIT below. Emergency Load Balancer System Maintenance  

UT Dallas community,

OIT will be conducting emergency maintenance on the Load Balancer System today, 2/16/2018 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM CST. We do not anticipate any impact to production environment, however the following services could be impacted:

  • Most UT Dallas internal and external webpages
  • Authentication system to applications (including eLearning)
  • Email for students, staff, and faculty

Possible Service Interruption – Friday, Feb.16 (1-5AM CST)

On Friday, February 16, Blackboard will perform a firmware upgrade. This maintenance will take place between 1am-5am CST (early morning).  Blackboard anticipates no interruption in service as a result of this work; however, they cannot entirely rule out brief periods of intermittent connectivity.  We recommend against taking online exams during this four-hour window.  If you have any questions, please contact elearning@utdallas.edu.

Campus Firewall Maintenance – Feb.1, 4-7am

OIT has scheduled emergency firewall maintenance on Thursday, February 1st, from 4-7am.  During this time, users may experience brief disruptions in some services, including eLearning.  If you have any questions, please contact the UTD Helpdesk at 972-883-2911 or email assist@utdallas.edu.  Please monitor the OIT Twitter Feed for updates during the maintenance period.

This maintenance will take place between 11pm January 19 (Friday night) and 3am January 20 (early Saturday morning).  Blackboard anticipates no interruption in service as a result of this work; however, they cannot entirely rule out brief periods of intermittent connectivity.  We strongly recommend users against taking online exams during this four-hour window.  If you have any questions, please contact elearning@utdallas.edu.
