Extended Maintenance OUTAGE – Tuesday, Feb.5, 12am-8am (early morning)

An extended maintenance window has been scheduled for Tuesday, February 5, from 12-8am (early morning). This maintenance window, scheduled to last up to eight hours, will be used to apply an update that fixes an issue that has negatively impacted a number of users.  During this time, eLearning will be UNAVAILABLE.  If you have any questions, please contact elearning@utdallas.edu.

Possible Service Interruption – Feb 1, 1-5am

Blackboard will perform datacenter maintenance early Friday morning, February 1, from 1-5am.  While we anticipate no interruption in eLearning service, we cannot entirely rule out brief period of intermittent connectivity. We recommend against taking online exams during this four-hour maintenance window. If you have any questions, please contact elearning@utdallas.edu.

eLearning Upgrade Outage Scheduled – Dec.29, 10pm – Dec.30 (11am)

An eLearning outage has been scheduled for Saturday, Dec.29 (10pm) until Sunday, Dec.30 (11am).  This 13hr window will be used to upgrade eLearning. During this time, eLearning will not be available.  If you have any questions, please contact elearning@utdallas.edu.

Emergency Datacenter Maintenance – Possible Service Interruption – July 26, 1-5am

Blackboard will perform emergency datacenter maintenance early tomorrow morning, July 26th (Thursday) from 1-5am CST. While we anticipate no interruption in eLearning service, we cannot entirely rule out brief periods of intermittent connectivity. eLearning Outage Scheduled – June 28 (11pm) – June 29 (5am)

Blackboard (UTD’s eLearning vendor) will perform maintenance to the datacenter from 11pm CST, June 28 (Thu) through 5am, June 29 (Fri). During this window, Blackboard will make every effort to minimize downtime; however, users should plan on intermittent service interruptions during this 6-hour maintenance window.  It is strongly recommended that users plan not to use eLearning during this time.  If you have any questions, please contact elearning@utdallas.edu.

Early this morning, an eLearning process ran that caused significant negative impact on student data for U18 courses.  Blackboard is taking eLearning down for approximately 4-6hrs, starting ASAP, in order to restore to a 9pm Tuesday evening backup point.  We apologize profusely for any issues this causes. Please know that once this is complete, we will work with OIT to ensure that this does not happen again.

eLearning Upgrade Outage Scheduled – May 12 (Sat), 2:30am-2:30pm

An eLearning outage has been scheduled for Saturday, May 12, from 2:30am until 2:30pm.  This 12hr window will be used to upgrade eLearning. During this time, eLearning will not be available.  Once the upgrade is complete, the LMS Tech group will spend the next 48hrs updating settings, the language pack, and branding.  If you have any questions, please contact elearning@utdallas.edu.
