RESOLVED: Qualtrics Outage

We’ve been notified by Qualtrics Support that the login issue with Qualtrics that users experienced earlier has been resolved. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Qualtrics Outage

Users have reported getting an error when attempting to log into UTD’s Qualtrics site. We’ve confirmed with Qualtrics that they are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.  Qualtrics Support says that data collection is not affected by the issue, so any open surveys are able to collect responses. The outage affects users attempting to log into the system.  Thank you for your patience.

Partial eLearning Outage

eLearning experienced a partial outage last night (Sept.18) from 5:30pm until midnight.  The partial outage affected the services listed below.

  • Crocodoc (inline grading for instructors)
  • Collaborate (web conferencing)
  • Social Profiles

PLEASE NOTE: All other eLearning functions were normal during the partial outage. If you have any questions, please contact elearning@utdallas.edu.

Turnitin Outage

Turnitin is experiencing a service interruption, starting at 5:45am CST, Sept.7. At this time, users are unable to create or submit Turnitin assignments.  Turnitin is investigating the issue. If you have any questions, please contact elearning@utdallas.edu.

RESOLVED: eLearning Login Issues

The LDAP issues have been resolved.  Users are now able to log into eLearning and other university resources.

Turnitin Service Alert

Turnitin (plagiarism software) has reported a service degradation early this morning from 3:02 AM – 4:06 AM CST. During this time, no user would have been able to submit Turnitin assignments.

eLearning issues

Blackboard (UTD’s eLearning vendor) uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) to host several services that are integrated into eLearning. Amazon is reporting a major outage that is affecting thousands of web services, including those used in eLearning.  Amazon is working to address the issue ASAP.  Below is a list of services that affect UTD eLearning users.

 

  • Respondus LockDown Browser
  • In-Line Grading of assignments
  • Accessing Collaborate recordings and files (web conferencing)
