Turnitin Service Alert

Turnitin (plagiarism software) has reported a service degradation early this morning from 3:02 AM – 4:06 AM CST. During this time, no user would have been able to submit Turnitin assignments.

Turnitin Maintenance Alert – Saturday 01/07/2017

Turnitin (anti-plagiarism) software will undergo essential maintenance on Saturday 01/07/2017 from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST. During this 8 hour window, Turnitin assignments will not be available. This does not affect regular eLearning assignments; it only affects Turnitin assignments. Users are requested to plan accordingly.

RESOLVED: Turnitin experiencing technical issues

Turnitin is now reporting that the issues experienced by users earlier are now resolved.  Please contact elearning@utdallas.edu if you have any questions.

Turnitin experiencing technical issues

Turnitin just sent out notification that some users are experiencing technical issues. They are looking into the issue and are working to resolve it ASAP.  We’ll send out another notification when we receive additional information from them.  We apologize for the inconvenience.

Upcoming Turnitin Maintenance – 12/3 (Sat), 9am-1pm

Turnitin has announced a planned outage for Saturday, December 3, from 9am-1pm CDT. During this time, Turnitin will be undergoing essential maintenance and will be UNAVAILABLE.  (Students will not be able to submit Turnitin assignments during this maintenance period.) Please contact elearning@utdallas.edu if you have any questions.

Update on Turnitin

Around 10:50 pm CST last night (July 20), we received a report from Turnitin in regards to the program being temporarily down. During that time, users were not able to access the program and Turnitin were looking into resolving the issue.

Turnitin has reported that the issue was resolved, and service was restored last night, between 11:00 PM and 12:00 AM CST. We are working with them to understand the cause of the service disruption. We regret any inconveniences caused due to this outage, and we thank you very much for your patience.

Users may have experienced an “Error 403” message in the Document Viewer between 11:10am and 11:40am PST. (1:10 PM and 1:40 PM CST) System is normal now.
